Mercy Health Allen Hospital

An Adventure in Cooperation permanent exhibit, Oberlin, Ohio

The exhibit is in a public corridor of the Mercy Health Allen hospital.

Julie worked as the project developer and manager for Mercy Allen Hospital’s An Adventure in Cooperation. She researched Oberlin history via archival material, census records, and the College archives; developed the theme of community participation as a way to expand the storyline beyond medical personnel; and worked with the graphic designer and fabricator to develop an appropriate display method for the hospital space. Serving as a liaison between the physician researcher, the hospital administration, and the local foundation supporting the project, she helped make the hospital’s vision a reality.

“I am so thrilled to have somebody take all of the research I did over the years and condense it in a way that’s both beautiful and informative.”
